Course Instructor Showreel
Paul Caggegi It took a little time, but I managed to source, edit and polish up a new reel, focused on my work as a course instructor at CG Cookie. From Panels to Draw, Modify and the latest Blender Basics update, working with Autotroph has been a dream job, combining my love of imparting knowledge and creating compelling content.
It feels surreal to have been involved in all of these projects. It brings back memories of constantly refining a process – from initial pitch, to timeline, research and execution. The fear of having to appear in front of the camera when I absolutely suck at lighting. And the ever-present fear that by the time the course goes live, it will already be out of date.
The time period this represent is only about four years, yet it feels like so much has changed in that time. Already, this feels like a skill that is fast becoming obsolete, and that reskilling is in my imediate future, though in what – that remains unclear.
