After a couple of month’s work, my new grease pencil course, CONCEPT has dropped! This requires CG Cookie membership for access, and focuses on the process of creating a single piece of concept art. It’s a super-quick course, and includes a lesson on color theory; shows my methods for making textures and palettes; and gives you a step-by-step guide to creating a concept sheet to hand over to a client.

Galleries!
I produce a wide variety of art – from professional work stuff, to life drawing and even some NSFW topics. It’s difficult to post everything on Social Media, as Instagram will flag stuff; Cara does not yet allow NSFW (meaning nudity of any kind). Mastodon so far has the best methods, allowing me to add a Content Warning and mark posts as sensitive.
So I’ve begun to post some stuff here in two galleries – a professional, and a personal. I’m still working on a better gallery set up, and would welcome any suggestions for a good gallery plug-in which creates an easy and intuitive user experience to navigate – perhaps something with a sort function? Until then, I am segmenting sets so that they are viewable easily on all devices.
PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO
A collection of work-related images from work I have done over the years.
PersoNAL PORTFOLIO
A collection of life drawing, reference drawing, and images I have created with the consent of all parties involved. NSFW warning!

BCON-LA – Storyboarding Presentation
On April 19th, I attended the inaugural BCON-LA hosted by CG Cookie (for whom I work for as an instructor). I presented a talk on Storyboarding in 3D Space using Blender, and how it fits into a Blender-specific pipeline. It was well-attended, and while only the audio from the original footage could be salvaged, it gave me an opportunity to add in all the animated content I could not show live during the presentation.

Creative Freedom Summit – Grease Pencil demo
I took part in the Creative Freedom Summit hosted by The Fedora Project recently. Thankyou to Mairin Duffy for the opportunity to talk, and for teaching me more about FOSS! If you wish to see some of the other great talks, they’re all available on their Peertube Channel
